Generally, we do not advertise themes for our upcoming tutorials, but since we are seeing a lot of students who are asking for help with the same concepts we thought that we would create some specialized tutorials.
Monday, November 4th - How Do I Study for Social Studies Daily? - Come to this tutorial and we will show you how to make the most of your daily study time. This tutorial will help you to learn what to study so that you will always be ready for a pop quiz. Monday, November 11th - How to take a Social Studies Test? - Advice on how to tackle multiple choice questions, R.A.C.E. questions and more testing strategies. Monday, November 18th - Study Session - Come study for your upcoming Social Studies test on Wednesday, November 20th. We will study WWI - The Roaring 20's. No Tutorials in December! January tutorials will be as needed. Please make sure that on your form you indicate specifically what you are struggling with. If you would like extra credit, here is your chance. This project is worth 10 bonus points. You may add these points to a test, project, or assignment of your choosing. You will need to write the name of the assignment on the paper before you turn it in.
Watch the following movie: Samantha: An American Girl Holiday https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_j-kGsicng Watch the movie, make 5 connections to our history unit, and explain them. Each connection should be 3-5 sentences. Type this assignment and email it to your teacher before Friday, November 22nd. Don't forget to include the name of the assignment that you would like your teacherto add your bonus points to. Your Google Doodle is Due on Wednesday, November 6th. Our last day to work on it in class will be Monday, November 4th.
Stay on Track October 25 - You should have all NEWSELA articles read and quizzes finished. You will have a significant amount of time to work on this during Career Day. October 28 - All research should be completed by the end of class. October 30th - All 6 paragraphs should be completed. Google Doodle completed and turned in on November 6th. Please keep in mind that we have an Art Day next week and CLUB Day is Friday.
Mrs. Dillard and Mrs. Ross have joined forces and created a website that can be used for both teams. This should make things easier for you to find. Please check our blog regularly. The yellow outlines represent new countries that were formed after WWI. Italy is striped because it was on the Central Powers side and then later joined the Allies. Russia is striped because they joined the war on the side of the Allies, but an internal war caused them to pull out. |
