About Mrs. RossWelcome to fifth grade social studies, I look forward to working with each and every one of you (families included). I am happy to say this is my sixteenth year teaching. I had the extreme honor being selected as teacher of the year at Austin Elementary in 2015. I spent eight of those years with second graders (Austin Elementary), two years with fourth graders (Austin), and this is my sixth year working with fifth graders at Kittredge. I am so excited to see what the year has in store.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Early Education from Monmouth College, with a focus in science. Monmouth College is a small liberal arts school in Monmouth, Illinois. Originally, I am from a small town called Hermiston, Oregon. I moved to Georgia in 2006, and have since gotten married and had two kids (Ashley, 13 & Mason, 11). I consider myself very lucky to teach at Kittredge with such amazing students and families. Of course, I look forward to another fantastic year! My Favorites Drink: COFFEE!
